A place to learn.
A space to grow.
A community to belong.
The SSIP After School Program at St. Paul helps young people build academic confidence, discover new interests, and develop skills for everyday life.
With homework tutor assistance, computer access, reading skill development, nutritious food, and a safe space, we make the hours after school an opportunity to thrive.

More than homework.
Support for the whole child.
Our program brings learning, creativity, and connection together. Tutors, volunteers, youth mentors, and community professionals help students grow at their own pace.
Academic & tutoring support
Reading circles, math practice, science enrichment, and interactive learning games strengthen academic skills and help students build confidence.
Computer lab & STEAM
Creative art projects, computer learning, and hands-on exploration encourage curiosity in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
Life skills & leadership
Peer discussions and mentoring develop decision-making, goal-setting, financial literacy, empathy, conflict resolution, and everyday etiquette.
Mental health & wellness
Through Pocket Sync, students practice breathing exercises, mindfulness, journaling, and emotional check-ins to build resilience and healthy coping skills.
Nutrition & healthy living
Nutritious meals, healthy snacks, and nutrition education support students’ well-being and introduce habits they can carry into everyday life.
Family & community
Family engagement activities and community connections create opportunities for parents, caregivers, and youth to learn, participate, and grow together.
Confidence begins
with encouragement.
One elementary student entered the program hesitant to read aloud. With patient, one-on-one guidance, she began choosing books during free time and grew comfortable reading in front of her peers.
Her progress reflects the heart of SSIP: consistent support that helps young people see what they are capable of.
